I use it whenever I'm in the truck as it is a convenient spot to just throw my phone. It got hot one time but otherwise it works every day. Had a Note5 now a Note8 and they both work with the charger.

Nice. I was just thinking if maybe there were some other use for it.

It would be cool to make some kind of induction LED light for it.

Case thickness seems to be a problem.

I got tired of my Lifeproof case breaking at the charge port flap; broke twice and I wanted to use the Qi charger.

Now I've got a Mophie Juice Pack Air for the iPhone 7 and it works perfectly on the Qi charger. Its a bigger case, hence the battery pack, but not too big for a pocket. I can either charge the phone with the pack on-demand or full-time. I charge the pack when I drive and that's all I need to keep the phone running.

It has a microUSB charging input if needed. The only change I would make - add a Lightining input for charging. Total battery life is 1.5x the phone battery.

I have the iPhone 8 Plus, using a cheap luvvit clear case. Charges just fine, only problem is it is ALOT slower. Did a comparison test with my wife phone plugged in when we both were at 30%, she got to 100% and I was at 46%. I believe we were driving about an hour and a half to Orange County. Cool convenience, but not something to rely on. Maybe to top off your charge, but to bring it back from the dead, just hard wire it.

Bought a 17 TRD OR and had an old iPhone that did not have wireless charging. About a month ago i got a new Samsung note8 and used the wireless charging for the first time. I purchased a case for it as well and have never had an issue with it charging. Personally i think its awesome. I use it every day. I just drove across the state and back this last weekend and had it on for about 3 hours at a time and the phone seemed to be a little warm when pulling it off but nothing like how the iPhone would get hot just by using it.

I use this same case on my iphone 6S. Excellent connectivity and charges fairly quick . Temp rises a little, but overall a great feature, I use it everyday.

Mine works like a champ. It charges my S7 almost as quick as a cable.

My iPhone 8 works fine, but because it charges so slow, and disconnects from charging once it is picked up, I never use it. I have a 3foot fabric wrapped cord that comes out of the console charger. That one is perfect.

Mine works, but is very finicky on the spot where it will charge. (Galaxy s8 in an Otterbox) Sometimes I find the sweet spot and it stops charging while I'm driving, then starts up again randomly.
Also had it overheat before a full charge on longer trips. Not sure if the case is making it harder for it to charge or not.

When I had my Samsung Note 4 with the QI adapter, It would disconnect all the time and the phone was not fast wireless capable. I just got my Note8 and that has fast wireless and connects better IMO. I like my wireless charging a little more now.
