does anyone know if this receiver will fit in a 2005 prerunner?i had read that a receiver with the motorized face would not work properly in a tacoma because it did not have enough room to let the face of the receiver come down and open.

not sure... but you could always go with the 3700 as it doesn't have a motorized face.

it depends on the dash kit you use. My Scoshe wouldn't allow some motorized faces to work depending on how they fold down.

I suggest to ditch motorized faces.

    1. Suck for off road
    2. Little cervo's will burn out before the HU dies
    3. Expensive to repair

i just liked the look of the display. it has a cleaner look to it.i have looked at the 3700 and the 3600 there is not much difference in them.i do like the look of the 3600 over the 3700.

bringing back post from the dead, but did you ever get around to see if the AVH X5800BHS fit your prerunner? I just got a 2010 Prerunner dcsb and i like this H/U

I am not a big fan of pioneer stereos.we have had a couple Ford explorers that had factory stereos made by pioneer in them and the displays went out so I kinda stay away from pioneer radios.i have had pretty good luck with the two Kenwood radios I have installed.use to be a big alpine guy but for the price of their radios I just don’t think you get that bang for your buck anymore.
