2nd Gen Stock Wheels - Tire choices

Hey all, time to put on new tires and I'm looking for input. I knew I should have done my lift/tires/wheels prior to having a kid, now it's hard to justify spending a ton of extra money on the truck (my prior baby) when I have swim lessons and all kinds of things going out. I still have the stock 245/75 16 without a lift. On the forum I see a lot of Cooper ST Maxx being run, how about the Cooper Discover A/T3 and has anyone used the Nitto G2s? I live in So Cal, and do mostly surface street and highway with the occasional mountain and desert terrain. If you have pics to post, I most appreciate it with your recommendations! Cheers.
