stock size tires 245/75/R16 - LT or P rating

    My 2005 prerunner had frame failure Aug 2024
    i have an 05 Prerunner 2WD auto. currently running LT Grabber AT2's.
    will be replacing them this summer and thinking of going back to a P rated tire. also planning on towing a travel trailer.

    should i stick with LT rated tires or am i ok going back to the P

    A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
    I would think that unless you do a lot of off road stuff - some good/name proven P's would do you well -- maybe a C if it worries you. I am now running some P rated Yokahama G0 15s in a p265/65/17 size -- I go out in the woods every now and then cut and haul wood. On paved surfaces these are smoother riding and quieter than my OEM Firestones.

    thanks. was thinking either the P Rated or LT rated Cooper Discovery ATW or the Duratracs (hence the LT ?)

    sticking to these 2 option as they're avail up here at a shop (CDN Tire) where i have $800 in CT money.
