Hello everyone. I have been reading most of the threads on towing and adding the necessary equipment. I have a 2006 Taco Prerunner with the V-6. It did NOT come with a towing package. I have added a tow hitch, 7 pin connector and paid an aftermarket dealer to install. They asked if I wanted it wired up with a brake controller or just pre-wired for one. I opted for the pre-wired. I have 4 wire leads taped together just under my back bumper which has a wire going to the 7 pin connector. Do these wires have to be connected to wires that will lead back to the cab and then wired directly to a brake controller? Do I have a wiring harness connector up under my dash or behind the kick plate? Just trying to figure out what I have and how I can add a brake controller.
Thanks in advance for any help. I enjoy reading TacomaWorld.
