Just put in a bid. I hope I win!! I was on the fence but the 90% tire life remaining put it over the top for me.

That was tame. You should've been around for round 1 of Kevin's shenanigans. Once his address, FB, IG, and phone number were posted... He was harassed, and people were considering going to his house for some not-so-gentle persuasion. Don't fuck with TW.

I have to admit, I took a quick peek at that thread, laughed at a couple comments, made my comment and moved on. Not until I read your post did I go back and look through in detail. I'm not at all surprised that there are scammers out there but I AM surprised that someone would brazenly scam members on a site like this. Seems stupid and dangerous for not all that much profit, and then the dude isn't smart enough to change his email.

A work buddy told me this story of a (slightly) smarter scammer: local guy was 'buying' stuff on Letgo. Seller shows up at a house, the scammer comes off the porch and takes the item, and says damn I forgot the cash hold on a minute, goes back towards the house. Disappears around the side never to be seen again. Turns out it wasn't his house. Cops got multiple reports, investigated, and the resident of the house was an elderly woman who didn't move around or go outside much. Sad right? They never found the guy.

Anyway, nice to read through and see what a sense of community there is on here.
