Didn't file one. I reached out to recamera after my condom deivery expressing my disgust and I would be filing a claim if they did not explain themselves immediately. They did and dleivered on their promise. Even though I find the deal shady, they had already expained (in broken English) what was happening and I had not read their previous eBay message. Now I have not installed it, but I will tomorrow. Stay tuned for fitment.

 

Went to a dealer this past October to look at a Nissan Titan with a friend. The web price didn't include the $6500 worth of markups for a leveling kit, cheap wheels and Amp tires. I could have done the same for less than $1800, and that was paying a professional shop to do the install. It's absurd what dealers will try. Waiting for the next sucker, I guess.

 

That whole thing is dafuq.

 

My dealer too. Parts department pricing there is $459 for the grille so $500 for install.

 

Dont mean to take over the thread but i bought trd pro grill for my 2018 taco and install it and i put a clear plastic film inside before installing the sensor and now its goes off that says radar cruise control unavailable pls clean sensor , question is how did u do urs?

 

Did u ever have issue with sensor after putting trd pro grill? Did u used the flexi glass over it before the sensor installation?

 

What is this "clear plastic film" that you used? Remove it and see if the problem is resolved.

 

Ill try that actually, and will let u know but i dont really want to leave it exposed but if thats the reason for malfunction either ill buy the garnish for it or going back to oem cheese grater grill, ty for reply anyway,cheers’

 

Already bought my Taco, but after seeing this I will go out of my way to never do business with Larry Miller Toyota in the future. They should be embarrased.

Also, got my grille from Bruceshark and arrived in one week in great condition one piece with seperate letters (I dont think its a big deal). Have yet to install since I need to get thin plexi for the TSS sensor, will post results when complete.

 

This is pretty common practice for most dealers. I’m waiting on an oil change and they have a tundra out front with a shitty spacer lift and blocks and 22”wheels with off road tires. They added nearly 10k to the sticker. Another dealer in town does a bunch of lifted Tacoma’s and Tundras and they too add in the neighborhood of 10k to the sticker of each. The trucks always leave fast so people are buying them and I guess are fine with paying a ton more for instant gratification.

 

I would love to ask the buyers if they know they just paid $2300 for a $300 leveling kit. There is dealer markup which I understand, and then there is gouging. Sad this is so rampant.

 

My grille is installed that I got from "recamera", perfect fit, none of the tabs broke during install and I reused 4 of the screws to attach the toyota. Hell of a ride from a delivery of condoms to wondering if I got screwed. Best of luck to those of you with orders still open!

 

I also ordered from Areyourshop-a and it arrived in 2 weeks. I was expecting a 2-piece grille like the photos showed and was very disapointed when i got the 1-piece but after receiving it in near perfect condition and getting it all installed (with some painting of the letters) it looks just fine. I really dont know why i wanted the 2-piece so badly. Maybe cause everyone else wanted them??? I also melted the tabs on the back of the letters to the grille with a soldering iron for good measure. In my opinion, i am kinda glad i got the 1-piece. My front cam might not have fit on the 2-piece. After cutting a hole for the cam, it looks like it came from the factory like this. I am sooo happy with how it looks now!

Hello, I also ordered from Areyourshop-a, and it came relatively quickly but unfortunately one of the clips on the side corner is broken. They have told me that it is still fine and only offered me a minor discount. In my mind, the location of the clip and the rough Wyoming roads will just cause it to bounce and rattle on my new Tacoma. Any suggestions? My first purchase from eBay so I'm not sure if I am stuck with it? Perhaps try to resell it for a steal to someone who is more mechanically gifted! Count my losses.

 

Had no idea my seller (stainlesssteeljewelry) was Malaysian because it said it was shipping from China.. oh well..

How long did it take for you to get the grill from recamera. I ordered mine on 12/3/17 and still waiting.
