I’m gonna be running jba uca’s on my truck soon. They recommend that i run wheels that have at least 4.5in of back spacing. My question is if i get a set of Ray 10’s would i have to run spacers and what brands and size spacers is recommended?

No spacers needed with our Ray10's. Our 17" have 4.3"bs and 16" have 4.0"bs so you're all clear to go with a little more wiggling room.

Some guys pound the shit outta that pinch weld with a small sledge hammer and bend it over. Then they add bedliner paint to make it look nice. They say it helps preserve the seal better resulting in less rust issues later. They also say it is bitch to do. Just saying.

If I go from a 3rd gen TRDOR wheel (which I believe is an alloy wheel) to the Ray 10s, do I need to get new TPMS? Or can I keep my current ones?

Also will these be "less strong" in material compared to the stock wheel? Or about the same?

    Thanks,

Shouldn't be too bad man, just got to have some control in the swings so you can add some power behind them. Took me about 5 min per side to get the welds flat.

If you currently have alloy wheels, your TPMS should transfer over without issues.

The Ray10's maximum load rating is 2200lbs. for each wheel. We have not had any report of failure under normal use.

I reused my OEM sensors. Most guys do. No issues there.

As @scs_vuth said, 2200 lbs per wheel should be more than enough for any punishment we can dish out with a Tacoma. I would think other things would fail first. Personally I have hit some serious pot holes that jarred my teeth and was afraid to look at the wheels but no issues for me yet. I also run E range tire too.

Man that looks badass! I’ll definitely post pics when I pick it up. I’m also swapping OME 2887 coils to the 2888 so I’ll be sitting more level!

These wheels are SIIIIIICK and I love em now that they're mounted up!! Crew at discount tire, as well as customers, were impressed more than I was I think. ha.

Not the happiest about the tires.. I talk a bit about those here in my build thread, about them not being true to size and balancing issues. Also added lots more pics in there too.

It was overcast and about to be dusk, so these appear a bit darker and deeper in this light. Which I'm both relieved and excited about, as I thought they'd be too light (as I previously expressed concerns about in earlier posts upon my initial judgement). So weather and time of day plays a huge part in how these pop at ya. Lookin forward to seeing them in different lighting! Will have to get some with the sun bouncing off em!!

(please forgive the state of cleanliness. Including the state of the exterior cosmetics; it's a slow work in progress... I also aired them down a bit, as you can see in the pics they were not riding flat)
