Stockish Suspension Upgrade Question

    2009 Silver Prerunner TRD Sport
    So, my truck has about 110k on the clock and is probably due for new shocks. It is a 2009 TRD Sport Prerunner DCSB and has had the TSB leaf springs installed. I want to stay near stock as I use my truck for work and reliability and gas mileage are of top concern. My options, as I see them, are to find some newer TRD Sport/Off Road take-offs or install 5100's at the 0.85 setting using my stock springs.

    Thoughts and opinions would be appreciated. I'm in no real rush, probably looking in the 3 to 6 month range.

    I had stock blow off road shocks, so it's not a great comparison, but 5100s are great. I would go for 5100s. They are not that expensive and you get a lot for your money. It's a big shock body in comparison to the Off road.

    I had 5100's set to .85" w/ stock Offroad springs for years. The ride was better in every way, and got the truck 1" higher in the front, which leveled it more (perfectly IMO) with a 1" rake.
