6" Lift on 2016 Tacoma

Lots of killer trucks. I just got my 1st Tacoma and I'm planing on doing a BDS 6". Just wondering if anyone here takes theres off road and if they do how well does it handle off road?

Yes. I absolutely loved this video. This is the video that finalized my own Suspension System I want for my truck. Only difference is I want 18x9 Rims. I already replaced my Front Skid plate with the Pro Skid Plate and Switched out my Gears for the 4.88 Nitro Gears. Next on my list is getting the BDS/Fox 6” Coil-Over Kit and upgrading my 17” wheel set to 18”. I think it looks badass. My only question is with it cranked up that high, hows the ride quality? Pretty stiff?

Surprisingly its not stiff as they cranked it only half way to its max of 9"

 

I want to.do this on my 18 pro I just brought. How is the rite compared to.stock pro ride

 

Night and day. Still obviously rides nice but completely different feel than the light stock PRO tires/suspension

 

I take mines off roading with 20x14's. LOL

 

You were able to keep your 17” rims with the BDS 6” Lift?

 

Just purchased the 6” BDS Coil-Over Suspension System. I got a great deal. $2,000.



Going to test out the 2.0 Series Fox Rear Shocks first but most likely I will be getting these Fox 2.5" Remote Reservoir Rear Shocks w/ RR Mounting Frame Bracket - Thanks to AccuTune OffRoad



Then I’m going to accompany these shocks with ArchiveGarage Hammer Hanger w/ Stock Shackles (Provides 1/2” Lift), Archive Specific U571 Deaver Spring, 4”+ Lift with Stock Weight, ArchiveGarage HD U-Bolt Flip Kit Option 4: 3.25"OD Pedestal mount for thread in bumpstop, with 3/8-16 flange nut welded in, with 3" tall Wheeler's Super bumps. I will start off with the stock UCA’s but will eventually get the BDS or Camburg

Currently I’m trying to find a buyer for my current wheel setup of 17” so I can get my new Nitto Trail Graplers on 18” Rims. Then I’ll be set.

Where did you get it a $2000?

 

A local guy here in Portland. He changed his mind and wanted to go long travel instead. Gave me a great deal on the kit that I couldn’t pass up.

Did you take measurements at all from the ground to the fender by chance or from the center of the hub cap to the fender?

 

Are you running stock upper control arms

 

To fit 35's did you have to trim the fender well plastics or front bumper?

 

Not OP but i got a similar setup. I have not done the CMC yet and i rub on full locked turned and driving up driveways. When i got it installed they trimed a tiny bit off the inside of the fenders.
