I've noticed these oddly colored spots on my truck a week ago, which was approximately the time where I bought my truck off the lot, and I didn't think much of it. But while I was washing my car, I couldn't get these spots out even with my pressure washer. I'm definitely sure that these aren't supposed to appear on the Quicksand paint and I need help identifying what these are. I'm assuming it's mold build up from the truck sitting at the lot.. Also, these spots are mostly on the lower portion of the car.

Happens a lot and is just more noticeable on lighter colored trucks. Clay Bar will take care of it.

Any tips on how to prevent this from happening?

Looks like "rail dust", and can probably be removed with clay bar.

I use chemical guys products, but here is a short video of the removal process

I didn't know anything about this before buying the Taco, but I have clay barred the truck a few times in addition to synthetic waxes. Really makes a difference.

If you trust your dealer...take it back to them to fix the issue, if not, I think the clay bar would likely work best....

Dealers don't give a shit for YOUR truck.... I'd say do it yourself...!!

I've never been one of the guys to let another person to do my work. The satisfaction of doing it yourself is too great!
