Will all TRD's (sport and off-road)have the locker? I found a few in my searches that boasted all the other accessories except the locker (skid, 120v, bilstein and tow hook)

Only the TRD Off Road will have the locker. The TRD Sports will have the skid plate, blue and yellow shocks (although the shocks are tuned differently) and the bed outlet. The Sport has some cosmetic things that the Off Road does not, such as a hood scoop, painted grille, painted mirrors, signal integrated mirrors and painted door handles.

I also remember reading that the TRD's have a higher output alternator and a different cooling fan motor but I'm not sure if this is true.

This might be obvious but another thing to look out for is all the 2nd gen TRD's have color matched wheel flares.

My favorite was the Tacoma I saw at the local dealership that said TRD Off-Road on one side, and TRD Sport on the other! It was a sport, according to the scoop on the hood, but I just thought it was amusing that someone had replaced one of the bedside stickers with the wrong one after some bodywork!

Aren't the stock wheels 16" on the Off-road, and 17" on the Sport?

    Front Tow Hook
TRD Off Road package trucks have a tow hook located on the front passenger side of the truck.

TRD Sport has these as well, at least mine does.

OP, is that a loose bolt on the skid plate?

I'm pretty sure the TRD Offroad comes with a fuel tank skid where the other models do not.

The front skid is on all 6-lug trucks. In fact the truck in your photo is not a TRD Off Road, judging by the base tow hook. Only the TRD Off Road has the skid below the engine and front diff:

Bed rug, ARE bed top, Weathertechs. Little goodies here and there!
My Sport doesn't have the hook. It has a recovery bracket on the passenger. So could've been optioned or added. I'd like to change mine out for either the hook or a more stout recovery bracket.

Concur, the one shown on the truck, is not a skid, more of a cover.

Here's the optioned skid. Not sure if they come with the OR or as an option.

^The silver aluminum skid is not an option. It's a dealer-installed accessory like the tonneau covers and the bed divider.

Im pretty sure only offroad's have Atrac also.

    *edit*
Now that I think about it believe the Offroad's also have DAC and possibly RSCA<not sure on that one though.

It's a Toyota part, but you're probably right in that dealer installed.

Likely just reviving a threat that is over a year old.. but I was looking for recovery points on my 15 taco. (I will end up with a bumper, but wanted to know where the stock hook was) I did find something that was available, although pricey if you don't have one. This one is rated.

It would be nice if there was one for each side because if Murphy has anything to say about it, your passenger side will be burred when you need a pull out. ;)

If you want a recovery point on both the driver and pass side up front, you could look into the Mobtown recovery bar. Although, its about 4 times as much as the BPF hook.
