Defroster blowing mist

yesterday my defroster started blowing mist when on, is this normal? I don’t think it is but any info would be greatly appreciate it.

 

How cold and humid was it inside? I've seen it happen when starting out with a cold interior.

 

Did the mist cover the window with a smelly film ?
Your truck is newer , but I have seen new heater cores fail in the past .
Your air conditioning compressor comes on to remove the humidity inside your cab even when its chilly outside

 

What color us the mist. Does it only happen in the defrost. Did you spill anything on to the dash. Condensation on the front windshield. Turn on floor heat see if your floor mats fill up. Could be something small to something not so small but not major
See it a coupler if times a bad windshield install, window slightly open during rain. A bad heater core, but you can small that one.

 

Do you use recirculation a lot? If so....that can increase the humidity levels in the cabin. Under the right circumstances that moisture can condense on the coils. When turning on the defrost some of that moisture is blown off.

If it's just for a second or two it's probably not a real issue. But if it constantly blowing mist....dealer time

 

It was around 60 degrees inside and it was humid outside. The mist wasn’t oily, just mist. It only happens with defrost.
