You'll have to go through my dumpster then

Frankensnorkel is all bolted up for real. Just have to finish the piping run inside the fender.
The top "ram scoop" is from a landcruiser snorkel, the mid/lower section is from a Prado 150 kit.
After I tightened up the bolts from the inside fender the base contoured much better.
    For all the naysayers..:luvya:

Hood all they way up. Had to move the ditch light over ~1/2". Clears perfect
    [IMG]

Since I didn't want to drill into the A-pillar(in case this didn't work out) I made a bracket going to my rack with a rubber isolater

The only fitment that I'm not too fond about is the bottom-rear section. You can see about ~3/4" gap. But you have to get down and look from below to see it.

But all in all, I'm stoked!

Every time I see a snorkel it reminds me of a backpack leaf blower.

The 2 different snorkels were very close in diameter/shape. . I used a head gun on the upper ram intake and heated the ABS until it was soft, then slipped it over the midsection and put a clap around the perimeter so it was the exact shape. After, I used RTV inside the lip for a deal and put nut/bolt to hold it together on the inside.

I saw an ARB in person, and soo glad I made a DIY. The thing is obnoxious and the scoop looks like a forward facing super blow dryer.

But.. I can't stop here. How about a custom designed laser aluminum grill to match the rest:bananadance:
Sorry for the potato pic..and don't worry It's getting powdercoated.
