What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

The more and more I think about the more I don't want to pay a dealer to do the valve cover gaskets. I think I will clean it all up tomorrow and monitor the leak to pin point it. Once it warms up and I can get back into the garage I will do the valve covers and everything else associated with that. This truck is definitely a love-hate sort of deal.

 

Well I'll have a bunch of weight regardless on the truck when she's done (from the current list) so I probably should regear also fastest I drive is 60

 

The color options man, but really the one thing I hate about the first gen is the radio placement, but I'm not hacking up my dash to move stuff around. Thinking back the radio placement on my 85 and 91 sucked too

Yeah I’m not really interested in moving it, just angle it up and toward the driver a bit.

 

Threw my civic auto transmission and car dolly's in the tacoma and sold them. They won't be missed.

 

Lets see, what did I do today. Failed a Smog test. F'n fuel cap. 12.00 and passed.

 

No they don’t but will build something ASAP! That’s what the instructions said but I should have tested it first but I didn’t!

 

So i bout some a pillar tweeters from a 4 runner for my Tacoma and i was curious on how to wire them in. Does anyone know if they will plug and play or a diagram of how to wire them in?

Did you get the sail panels and tweeters or just the tweeters?

 

I sell tons of them they've proven to be popular. People with aftermarket systems usually mount their own independent tweeter system I don't believe you can hook up the 4Runner stock tweeter without some work to the stock Harness.

 

Can you use a couple of washers to shim it on the passenger side mounts?
