    whats the largest tire you can keep underneath the truck on a 16” rim and a 17” rim. Thx

    I've seen folks stuff a 285/70/17 or 285/75/16 or 255/85/16 or 255/80/17. All are 33s, but you'll have to hammer the tabs down that are meant to hold the stock 265s in place

    I have the tow package and there's no way a 255/80R17 will fit up there. I've tried. Tabs and elevator placement won't matter - there's just not enough room between the hitch framework and the pumpkin. I suppose it would work if you never plan to flex your rear suspension... Otherwise your pumpkin is going to rub.

    This is one of the main reasons I plan on getting a Pelfreybilt rear bumper soon, with their hidden hitch. I'm assuming it'll give me the extra room I need.

    I hoisted my 255/85/16 up there once, didnt like the clearances, put on a tire carrier on my rear bumper :thumbsup:
