Got home about an hour or so ago...not gonna lie, I was disappointed there was no snow on the ground.

Anyone kind enough to tell me the name of these Satan balls and the name of the trees in my front yard? Can I neuter them somehow so they don't produce this shit mess every year?

I havnt seen squirrels around here in a while.
I don't know the name of them or the tree.
I bet there 200 lbs or more.

Yup. Likely NOT American Chestnut. May be Chinese since they are planted as landscaping. Check this link out, scroll down to look at leaf examples:
