Hey everyone, I currently have a 2007 Tacoma. I was looking to upgrade my stock headlights to some HID's. I am just a bit confused as of what I need and what a good brand of HID's are. I would like to buy a kit that comes with everything that is easy to install (plug n play). Can anyone help me out here

The oem headlight housing has reflectors made for halogen.
If you want to run hid in oem headlights you will need to retrofit. Otherwise you will blind oncoming traffic.

    Google tacomaworld.com how to retrofit
Or something similar then do lots of reserch..

Welcome to tw..... please follow the projector retrofit comments.
Otherwise your gunna blind other drivers and be at fault for any accidents. Dropping in hids into any vehicle not offered with an hid option (2nd gen tacomas were never offered with this option) is illegal on a federal level (as in all states), so at the very least its an easy ticket for a cop, and 1 id agree with.
Its even worse throwing hids in a stock 2nd gen foglight housing.

And beware of those silly ebay/spyder/carid projector lights with all the led crap on them.

The optics are subpar even with hids some members have said WORSE than a stock housing with an old halogen bulb.
    The majority also leak.
