Looking to do a lift on my 95% pavement queen 2015 trd sport dblcb Tacoma. Don't want to change ucas so staying under 3". Front struts were changed 2000 miles ago. Has anyone ever used stock struts with 884s or 885s? Could it be done? Do I really need new adjustable bilsteins if I'm never going to run it off road? Thoughts, comments much appreciated.
I have been in contact with Marie at Headstrong and she said they'd never tested this scenario.

Why not use the 5100’s with stock springs instead.

I was under the impression that the springs give you the lift not the struts. If I just change springs and keep the stock struts, I'll get lift and not change the "ride" so to speak.

The 5100’s are adjustable which can be used with stock coils to provide lift, like you’ve been told I’ve never heard about the opposite being done with aftermarket coils and stock shocks.

Got it. That's probably why it's not usually done. Thanks for the reply.
