now that my title has your attention , I am changing my manual transition fluid and frt and rear diff’s (2015 tacoma sb 6 speed). I have decided on
    Redline mt 90 tranny oil
    MT-90 75W90 GL-4.
Decided on this due to review by others and the improvement in shifting that results.

Looking for recommendations for diffs or is oem lube more than good enough and do they require any additives?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I was running Mobil 1 synthetic in my diffs. Now, I'm running heavier Lucas dinosaur oil. That's what ECGS recommends for the diffs they build, so I'm running it in my stock diffs.

I used plain Mobil not synthetic in my rear diff.
I used the weight it called for in my owners manual.
I honestly can't remember what weight it was.....

But I didn't use anything special.

you can use any 75w90 gl5 gear oil for both diffs and transfer case just be consistent and change them out every 30k miles. I would recommend using Walmart Super tech 75w90 gl5 its affordable , easy to get locally, and will do the job as good as any other brand.
