Why would someone put low profile tires on an off-road rig?

Because the most off road it will ever see is a dirt road?

For example... pulled/rolled fenders and adjusted alignment to get as much negative camber as possible dropped down one tire size and was able to just clear a 9” 0 offset wheel. I’m glad I didn’t have to drop to the next tire size should’ve been a sketchy amount of stretch.

To me this style looks really clean on imports and I’m a fan, took me a while to get used to trucks though. I’m a little more open minded when it comes to builds and I can respect a street truck with a lift and big wheels, but I do prefer a wide nitto 420s vs a stretched mud tire. I can see the appeal to both though.

Why would anybody lift a street truck?

    Because they wanted to

Nobody asked that though. I think the look some are turned off on (myself being one of them) is lifting a truck but then putting huge dubs and low profile and/or stretched tires on it. It's a bizarre mix of styles that typically looks ridiculous in combination. Folks can certainly do whatever look they want, though.

I had chicks lean out of their jeeps to yell “hey daddy” at me in my F150. The only complements I’ve gotten on my Tacoma from my GF is “it looks like a turd”

I just think Drop Bracket Lifts look stupid, but it's just my opinion. And I think they look even dumber when the wheels stick out inches past the fender flare. I was just out and there was this Dodge 2500 with what looked like a 10 or 12 inch lift on it, and the wheels and tires stuck out about 6 inches past the fenders. In what world does anyone think that looks remotely good? But like we all say " To each their own. "

Maybe it's a regional thing. I regularly get compliments on my Tacoma. I didn't even get this much interest in my current vehicle when I had a Corvette (though I got a lot with that too).

I can agree... girls would compliment my muscle cars/stanced cars/Jeep/Silverados. They are all over my buddy's with bro trucks...

Since I switched to the Tundra/Tacoma/4Runner they just assume I'm already a dad and the ones I've known for a while ask why I stopped buying cool things. They all seem to impress guys though...

Now, that's just disrespectful to the owner and to anybody with a mental disability.

Yup I just don't get it honestly, but I think with all DB Lifts don't the tires have to stick out past the fender Flare?

I legitimately rarely see them by me. Almost all the suped up trucks in my area look, what I would call, traditionally done.

Also, the baja (or bro as we'd call them) style trucks died off here like over a decade ago.

I've always wanted to lower a 5 lug stick shift tacoma. Yours looked awesome! I feel like lowering or lifting or even modifying your vehicle at all is a dangerous thing if you care what people think... There will always be someone that doesn't like your way of doing something and will get all over you for it.
