After 23 1/2 months and just over 65,000 miles it was time to replace my OEM tires.

I am not an aggressive off-roader since in my part of the world there are few trails and little public land for off road use. Even though I own the OR, highway driving is my main use.

I found the original tires to be quite good on the road. I only had two problems (flats) and that was after driving on a friend’s ranch (picked up a nail) and an unknown puncture on a BLM road on a recent New Mexico trip. Both failures were at 60,000 miles plus.

So, I opted to replace my tires with the same OEM Goodyears. Special order online from Sam’s Club and they came in within 2 days. The price was right, I think it works out to 1.12 cents per mile for all 4 tires or just over 1/4 of a cent per mile per tire.

You did great to get that much mileage from the original tires. What's the mileage rating on your new ones?

Fantastic question, I literally have no idea, I am pretty sure mine are just the regulars. I went cheap, they were like $161 from discount for 285/70/17

Thinking the same. I'll be lucky to get 25k out of mine and I am at 22. I do trail riding so maybe that wore them out a little more.

I am swapping out my stock Goodyear’s on my OR today after getting 30000 miles on them. I will be installing Cooper Discoverer S/T’s (255/85/16).

They are the same—rated for 60,000 miles. They were about $150 each for the tire, $15 each for the lifetime balance/rotate/road hazard and with the sales tax and fees it came to $739 out the door for 4.
