this is my first post and first time taco owner and need help turning my thoughts and dreams for this vehicle come to life all help will be greatly appreciated little about myself i am a marine who was severly injured in iraq in 2006 i live in durham nc need a good network and knowledge ppl so if there is any ideas or ppl willing to help im all ears my goal is to make this a true off grid all function vehicle

Hello. New tacoma owner here. I researched and shopped around for about a year and finally decided on a new 2017 MGM Double Cab Off Road non P/T with a manual transmission. I read a lot on this forum which was a tremendous help in my decision. (Thanks TW!) I’ve only put a few hundred miles on but I’m super stoked so far! Im coming from an XJ, so the size and drive ability is fairly comparable. It’s probably gonna stay in stock form for a while, although I do have some things in mind like 265/75’s, seat covers, toolbox, and some sort of bed rack for kayaks/canoes and such. The manual is a blast to drive and I’m surprisingly pleased with the power even though the 3.5 has a bit of a weak reputation. Anyhow I look forward to being a member here and a part of the Tacoma family!!

Congrats on the new truck. I bought my first Tacoma in November 2017 just before Thanksgiving. You will love this forum especially if you're into mods. I've already done quite a few things to mine.

I absolutely LOVE my Tacoma and I don't think i'll ever drive anything else again.

thanks my only mods so far are two swing out storage boxes in the bed along with the diamondback hd tonneauu cover
