    I have a 2012 DBCB V6 4x4 with 41k miles.
I have no check engine light on nor has it ever been on ( yes it works ) I've owned this truck since it had 3375k.
The thing is the check engine light is not on. It's just pulling the code I'm guessing it's stored for whatever reason. Anybody know why this occcuring. Truck runs fine no issues ? I'm lost at this point.

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
It sounds like the code is in there as a "pending" code, meaning a fault was noted, and the ECM is waiting to see if the fault shows up again. If the fault does show up, then it will turn on the CEL. If it does not occur again in something like 40 drives cycles (fuzzy on the #, not sure, but it's a good number of drive cycles), then the code will be cleared.

Why the fault triggered in the first place, I don't know. I've found odd pending codes in my '14 that I can only attribute to software bugs or transient faults in the electrical system. It's hard to have an automatic transmission-related code in a truck with a 6 speed manual. Good job, Toyota!

So it doesn't mean that anything is wrong "yet". So it should be ok to drive for right now. Unless the CEL does light up in which then would probably be a good idea to take to the dealer. Would the secondary air injection be replaced under the 8/80 emissions warranty ? I've seen a few people have corp. have them replaced for no charge ? At this point I'm hoping it goes away.

There are at least 3 types of codes, Pending, Current, and History, that I can see with Toyota Techstream. I'd hope I don't have to explain what that means. A good code reader can distinguish between them, I assume cheaper ones bunch them all together.

I got a buddy that has a Solas, I'll check with him and see if he can tell me if it's pending, current or history. I appreciate your advice
