Just noticed when I turn on my headlights the blue light on the dash indicating bright lights on, comes on dimly , when the lights are on dim. When I put them on bright , the indicator light gets brighter. I checked the headlights themselves and the driver side is on but not as bright as the pass. side. After about thirty seconds, the drivers side came on full brightness, and the blue light on dash went out. I'm thinking bad connection, since I've never seen a bulb fail partly. The only changes to the lighting system are change the map lights , license plate light and backup lights to leds. Also eliminated the left license plate light to do the trailer connector mod., but that was three weeks ago. Any ideas?

First thing to check: grounds. As a wise Service Manager once taught me many years ago: "All stupid electrical problems are a bad ground." He's almost never been wrong with that one.

Swap bulbs side to side, see if the problem follows, if it DOES follow, you found your issue. If it does not, check the wiring and connectors for damage or corrosion...and check grounds as well.
