From Tropical Minnesota

My first Tacoma was a 2010 TRD Off Road DCSB. Sadly, it died an untimely death in a snow storm in November. We left the road and rolled down an embankment. Not a scratch on me, but totaled the Tacoma.

So my new truck is a 2013 base DCSB. I like the BT phone and the ability to stream music and podcasts from my smartphone, but I'm a bit disappointed with the stereo's audio quality. Another thing I've noticed is that when the stability control and anti-slip kick in on the 2013, there are no alarms that sound. Is that just a difference on model years or do you still get the alarms sounding in the 2013 TRD? To be fair, I'd rather not have the alarms. When it happens, you know it, and the alarms just scare the kids .

And the asthmatic gasp from the smog pump when I turn it off is a little annoying. Oddly, from what I can tell, it is louder on the inside of the cab than it is on the outside. So now, I turn the engine off with the radio on, and don't really notice it that much.

I've been looking through some of the threads and there seems to be quite a bit of good information here. Thanks to all who have contributed in the past and will do so in the future.
