Apparently OVTune has some sort of distribution agreement for a tuner that can flash all Toyota ECUs now:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-tacoma-2-7l-ecu-tuning.509865/page-7#post-16602679

But yeah standalone was the name of the game back in the day, unless you went for something like an A'pex-i S-AFC which was just a tool to dick with the MAF reading and not really a "tune" proper.

Making me feel like an old man here, having seen the transition from standalone/piggyback to an OBD flashable ROM to OBD flash loadable tunes on a factory ECU...

    Does a minibike count? ;)

OK fine, I'm not an old man yet. I have jetted and rebuilt a few carbs though, which is more of a rarity for an early-30's dude anymore.

Same here, had an M1A, sold it about a year ago!

I refuse to buy any Springfield product anymore after the things they've done to throw the residents of their state under the bus so long as they could get an exemption to anti gun bullshit.

Magpul left Colorado even though they were offered an exemption to the mag cap stuff, and made sure to take a crap on the desk on their way out.

Yes the 2 blowers are close. The core tvs1900 components are pretty close. But there are differences.

The bully dog gt is a tune that is flashed to the ECU. There's no piggyback. It reflashed the ECU. See picture what the dash was doing while it was reflashing.

    I don't know about unichip.

Apexi SAFC was the shit back then. Then Greddy came out with the emanage that was tunable with a LAPTOP. Life changing. HKS FCON and FCON Pro as semi standalone and had more control with open and closed loop tuning.

So who here is into music like I am. Picked up one of those standalone M-Audio standalone headphone amps, wow! For twenny five bucks, it really wakes up music, even on smartphones.

It's a single input, dual output 16-100ohm impedance, 8 hour playback on a charge. This isn't as fancy as some of the ones I have seen that have built in DSD capability. I'm using it with my Sony Hi Res NW-A35 and it kicked that up a couple of notches. I am starting to see why guys buy these and band them to their Hi Res players. Think of the output a good quality receiver has with over ear monitors and how controlled and powerful the sound is compared to a phone or cheap MP3 player. That is how this is...
