I purchased this truck in August with plans of it being more or less my forever truck. I'm about 5years out from retiring from the Air Force, and the payoff date aligns with my retirement date pretty well. I had no grand plans for it, mainly because I was pretty ignorant to the aftermarket support for Tacomas, but that quickly changed.
    20170820_190245-01.jpg
Within a week of owning my new truck, I had taken to YouTube for research, and found @MaxxTRD videos. Then I found myself going down the overlanding video wormhole, specifically stuff in Washington and Oregon. I noticed that people in these videos had these weird tent contraptions on their rooftops/beds and I was hooked. I knew that this type of driving/camping was something that I wanted to do. Two weeks after purchase my wife and I took a drive down to Bend, and made a stop at @Cascadia Tents for a tent and bed rack. After they graciously helped me with install at their facility, we were off for our first adventure!

After that weekend, my whole family was hooked.

That's enough story time for now. I'll finish uploading the rest soon.

Off road tires and leveling. So far
I have the same wheels. Went with something more aggressive for tire. I got tne Falken Wildpeak MT01. No regrets on the setup so far!

These came on the wheels. When they're dead, I'll switch to something like that.

Update: I tried to buy some sliders over the weekend from Craigslist. Seller didn't answer his emails, so I decided that on board air was the next logical purchase. On Monday, I drove up north to Expedition Essentials and picked up an ARB Dual compressor/mount. The owner Jeff was amazing to work with, and I can't wait to see what they come up with next.

Also, I sold my Cali raised Light bar to @Sour_Taco

Looking good! I've got the same bumper bar and switch. How'd you get that panel off to install the switch?

Recently finished up my Expedition Essentials rear ARB compressor mount/Switch Pros SP9100 install. It's hard taking your time and thinking things out, versus slapping stuff all over the place, but boy is it worth it.

First start by cutting your truck apart
    20180116_113315-01.jpg
Next get a buddy and lift the compressor/mount into place.
    20180127_145100-01.jpg
Run the wiring allllllllllllllll the way up front.
And connect it all to your Switch Pro
    20180211_152919.jpg
I use the Expedition Essentials sunglass holder bracket for the controller. Works great!
