I love my windshield tint. I have extremely sensitive eyes and it’s worth every penny.

The old “if you hit someone your life is over” notion is so invalid. Unless you have 5% on your entire windshield, you can see just fine, if not better at night.

I’ve had both 50% and then 35% on my windshield and they both help with glare/heat inside the cab greatly. I got pulled over with 20% on the front windows and 35% on the windshield on a cloudy day because it made it seem much darker. At night the tint wasn’t really a problem seeing, but i’d go 50% if I was you. Gives just enough to cut glare and heat, but not enough to be super noticeable to LEO where they’ll come and ticket you

My old co worker in NH had a slammed beamer with limo on all windows. His skin was ultra sensitive to the sun, he had a business card thing that he would just flash at cops when they pulled him over and they would walk away all mad. Do 35-40 on the windshield you will be alright even on a cloudy day.

I truly love my tinted windshield. I don't have to wear sunglasses most of the time which makes it convenient for me and my passengers. I believe I have 50% tint on the front windshield and 15% all around. (keep in mind that it was a cloudy day when I took this picture^)

I put nano ceramic film on all my windows to include my windshield. The lowest percentage tint my tint guy had was less than 20%. It almost looks clear, just has a tiny tint to it. I put this on the windshield which did make it noticeably darker (because the tint adds to what color was in the OEM windshield).

I love it. #1 I got the heat rejection ceramic tint to cut down on UV radiation and heat... well you are only really effective at that when you do the largest window (the windshield). It also does help with my eyes in the summer, cuts down on how aggressive the sun is. Also not to mention it does cut down on how hot the car gets substantially.

I have no issues driving at night. I have more problems with my rear window being pretty dark than I do with any of my other windows in the dark. Just be careful how much tint you add. It really doesn't take much to darken up the windshield.

I also highly recommend getting a quality film like a heat rejection ceramic film. To be clear (because a lot of people don't understand) the type of film is what gives certain properties like heat rejection, UV ray blocking, etc. How dark the tint is has nothing to do with this. Darkness of the tint is completely separate. So don't think darker means more protection.

Get a quality film with minimal tinting and it will be fine for the windshield.
