I want a garage that the truck actually fits in. Right now, I basically have an oversized shed.

Much appreciated, but I don't want to get oil all over the place. At least any mess I made today will be washed away by the rain.

 

Just got back to work, from running our to Whole Foods on my lunch break to grab some more Elderberry syrup... throat is feeling a bit BLAH today, and last time this happened, @Breakfast Taco suggested I grab some of that and I think it worked, so doing it again.

 

My truck is too big for my girl's garage by only a couple inches! Should fit if I remove a bumper.

 

Totally sounded sexual... until you added the removing the bumper part.

 

I definitely don't miss that. I put my front shocks in outside when it was 10° out one year. I almost bought two different houses with tons of land but no garage, and looked at a bunch of others with tiny garages. Mine's 24x24, so it's perfect for the truck while leaving room for benches, tool boxes, lawn tractor, snowblower, etc. and room to work. My plan is to put a sub panel out there this summer and ceiling mount a shop heater before next winter.

I have a small drain grate. I'm pretty sure there's no pipe going anywhere, but I should probably dig to find out

If I make a mess, I mop it all into the grate and the dirt absorbs it. Occasionally I shovel some dirt out and throw it away.

You'd be welcome to mine, too, but I'm sure I'm hours away.

 

Fire dept was just here to inspect my new boiler. All good, except that the installers didn't move the Firematic to a spot above the new burner. WTF.

 

I'm wondering what my river is going to look like today! Bet it's roaring!

 

Passed several on the way home and they're ripping pretty good.

 

Designing a pretty large condo complex in a Town near Cape and holy crap is it a hot mess. The building department wants us to show that we can fit their largest ladder truck through the site which is +/- 50' long (no trailer as a pivot point). I don't know of ANY one off commercial buildings (looking at you fast food restaurants) that would fit this thing through their parking lots, but we are required to design for it. We have 3 proposed single story buildings per lot, no reason for a 100' ladder truck to come rolling in.

Note to all you future developers out there....don't ever piss of the Town officials thinking you are above the law; they can make your life a living nightmare and cost a fortune in the process.
