Picked up and added two pouches while I was at the uniform store dropping some stuff off. So far just little odds and ends to clean up some of the clutter in the truck.

So. This is going to be the build post for the Decked System I ordered... bear with me while I work through photos and editing and remember any issues or suggestions to make this a smoother process.


Step 1: Getting the box in the truck so it can be transported from work to the build location. (Here again I’m gonna beat myself up. Lack of patience and being a stubborn headed woman... 250lbs? Pfft) ((doesn’t wait for help))

.... well here something she doesn’t say to often... it’s to big.

Captains log - 01/27/18 13:14hrs : I’ve successfully transferred the box to the truck. And am currently waiting on some additional short people to take a break from class to help me finesse this thing into the truck.

Captains log - 01/27/18 14:45 hrs: I encounter an issue with the internal storage and made the decision to stop trying to be a truckie and use my brain.

Alright. Here we go.
First. Who ever wrote the directions is a sarcastic, funny and lying mother fucker.
This can be fully assembled with a cap on... however I recommend having a small friend 5’4” and under... if you do that.
Let’s get started.
Prep work:




Cue Sarcasm. (Dicks)

Cab side mounts, do not do this project alone. You’ll need a friend... I suggest leaving out beer, rum and coke, and some food to attract friends if need be.

And the Spine is in: also easier with a friend.

Deck is in!


For those wondering, this is showing the bed support brackets, this system does clear them all together.



The bitch of this install came down to the “rear” wheels (tailgate end). I would suggest some type of wedge and a friend who can lift. This wasn’t an easy process.

This is super super easy to do. I really thought it was going to be an all day process, figure on 3-4 hours so long as you have all the proper tools.

And that whole power tool thing... and not needing them?

Lies.

More photos will be added at a later date when the weather is better and I can get my hands on a few compression bags.
