Well, I'm glad I asked. One of the guys at work, who had worked with them before said quite a few show up so things have to be "shovel ready". That explains the many others that are there. He had no clue.

We're going to do a small group campsite developement. I'm going to terrace an area large enough for about 15-20 one and 2 man tents. So we're talking 2 benches (one above the other) about 10'-15' wide and 20' or 30' long. It'll adjoin a small knob that currently has a couple concrete picnic tables, a fire ring and a bbq stand. I'm also going to cut some smaller benches close to and about the same elevation of the water to plant some cottonwoods....I guess I should mention this is right next to the lake...anyway, also near this campsite is going to be the large rock with the brass plaque commemorting the manager. At the entry to the campgrounds, and next to the flag pole, is going to be the new sign.

That's pretty much the scope of the project (as I understand it). I'm thinking the plan is for me to get the benches roughed in and be there to set the rock. They are going to do the finish work, dig the holes for the sign, mix and pour the concrete and set the brass plaque on the rock. But, also as I understand it, things are far from finalized. The signs are already made but the plaque isn't done and our guy that's supposed to be coordinating with the young gent hasn't had great success getting ahold of him.

So, when this all comes together, it should be pretty interesting.

Still 52 and the rain is almost done. Wind is strong. Just hope it's strong enough to dry things out before the flash freeze this afternoon. Supposed to be single digits tomorrow morning.
