2017 Tacoma TRD Offroad 4x4

Does anyone have a good solution to secure gear in a truck bed with bed bars and RTT? I don’t really want a tonneau cover, and not sure one would work with the bed bars. I need to store skis and gear overnight in my truck. Also, my wife wants more waterproof transport of our stuff on the road.
