    absolutely love my kit!! I ended up doing rear extended brake lines, 1" front diff drop(until I get my bumper and winch mounted) as I left the preload at 20mm, total chaos spindle gussets and the ecgs bearing while it was all apart.
    The kit absolutely drives amazing 1 compression and 2 rebound I have mine set at for now and I can hit these trails at 40 mph(that's about as risky crash wise as I'd like to get, trees get really tight) and it just soaks up everything, the kids and wife just laugh the entire time we whip through the trails! rides amazing on the street as well! I would buy this kit over and over again!!

    OK. I got everything installed a few days ago. I left the preload at the factory setting because I don't have a way to adjust it at home. I'm telling myself I'll correct it with bumpers/armor and a winch. :gossip:.

    So I started thinking about how the bypass shocks work. Ideally the truck should rest with the shaft of the shock at a particular position within the body and should be identical on both sides. This would give you the best ride on paved roads with both sides entering the different valving zones at the same time. So I imagine you'd use the preload to set the exposed length of the shafts. Then correct for any lean or ride height with spacers.

    Am I over thinking this?

    Did you bend the reservoir bracket outwards so it would sit outside of the rubber skirt?

    Here's a easy way to adjust ride height! One of my favorite tools is a KTC Spring Compressor, I purchased this about 5 years ago and it's been awesome on numerous projects. This compressor is Very safe and easy to use, you'll never go back to anything else once you try it. Oh and this morning I tried it on the front BP-51 shock and it clears and works!, the cups just clear the shock body [​IMG] Will be nice not having to take it anywhere to make adjustments. Thought I'd share pictures of the tool for those who want a Very nice compressor!

    The unit comes with different cups for different size springs.

    Awesome info thank you! However I am more curious to see if you have the room to use this while the coilover is on the truck?? I really love the height of my truck right now and once the bumper finally comes in and I mount the winch it may or may not compress a little(we will see) and if so I want to raise the height back up just a bit, I spoke with arb tech support and he said that I could do that to regain the height he just wasn't sure if or how much it might effect the harshness of the ride.

    Any luck trying this compressor while the shocks are on the truck? I see a china copy of the ktc compressors you are using on Amazon for 80$ (looks identical, same factory?)would be a game changer if we could adjust on truck.

    No dice adjusting with the shock on the truck, I tried it a couple nights ago. Shock will have to be removed for adjustment.

    Nope...my tire and spindle is off the truck right now. Basically the shock tower interfears with the spring compressor....just not enough space with it on the truck. Luckily adjustments shouldn't be something one has to do often.
