The good news is my ME-SO extended fuse cover came in today!
Bad news is even though the package shows delivered there were no LED map lights in my mailbox.

Yes, different numbers. Same status for both up to delivery notice, but only the fuse cover was actually delivered.

Hey @bs9488 , look man, sorry, came home late tonight from work, took one look at the package and knew I could never wait for the version 2s. Again, sorry. If however those become a thing and I'm lucky enough to score a set in red then these version 1 models are yours free of charge just for the let down.

Ok, old guy here that is not so mod savvy. I went back through the entire thread for the third time to find explicit install instructions, not only for myself, but for others like me. Sad part is, I have a moderately high IQ, I just tend to overthink things. Anyway, here's what I came up with:

This seems to be the most comprehensive version, from @Ro_Ja Boy :

Ok, this seems easy enough, even for me. Thing is, if the panel is down, and you twist the sockets out, and then remove the bulbs from the sockets, what plastic light am I pushing out from the inside? Or is @Ro_Ja Boy referring to the OEM clear light diffuser lenses that you currently push to turn the lights on/off? See, I said I was not so savvy. I need shit spelled out for me.

Then, @DrDaveTaco was nice enough to provide us pics with a similar explanation. I am definitely a show me how kinda guy when it comes to this stuff.

Again, very straight forward, and I am feeling much more confident at this point. Except, LOL, where are the wires that should be coming out of the back of the black sockets? I guess I will find out soon enough.

Then @Victory provided some additional advice that I thought might be crucial.

So what I took from @Victory additional information was that the reflectors inside the panel housing can stay or be removed. I plan on never going back to OEM so if it's not too hard, I am removing mine since they serve no purpose. Last thing I need is install problems with what should be a easy modification.

Then I reached out to @cemented. I figured since mine were waiting for me at home I would get to the bottom of all of this and just use the forum as it's intended, and ask. At the very least I knew I would just have more information. @cemented went the opposite route and didn't pull the entire overhead panel down. I am sure either way is as quick as the other. I did however find his instruction of checking the polarity before snapping the new led housing up into the panel especially helpful. I would not have thought of this.

Unfortunately, I do not have any spare hose, but I do have duct tape (who doesn't). My fingers are like freaking Polish sausages so I would need to use the tape method or remove the entire panel. I may try the tape first.

@Gettin Lost reinforced the "tape" to remove the bulb method so that raises my hopes for this method.

So there you have it. A comprehensive attack method for those of you like me that are mod challenged. If I were more savvy with all this I would shoot a video of the entire process but I really don't want to waste your time with a less than informative version of what is likely another easy @mesojdm modification.

    Thanks for reading.

I dropped down the console because I had to add a small wire harness for my Home-link mirror, so unscrewed the bulb housing and removed the bulbs, then used a pocket knife to remove the oem clear lenses from the front side of the console. They came right out. Popped in the meso lights and all is good. I left everything else alone in the light pocket.

Thank you for the additional information @JD'STaco ! I was worried when I did the @mesojdm Ultimate Turn Signals but like everyone else I was done in less than 10 minutes. I'm heading out to do mine in a couple minutes. Want to get them in while the sun is out so I can take some pics later tonight in the dark.

Oh, wait, see, old guy brain at work here again. How do we test the "push button" lights before completely installing them? LOL

You’ll do fine. Just take your time.
I haven’t done the turn signals yet, but when I do I might double up two plastic shopping bags and place them over the mirror to catch the mirror if it flys off when I go to remove it. Lol!
