Yeah you can always plan a beer or prep work for the rest of dinner to occupy the time...I'll refrain from using any liquid fuels...

    Same concept for your roof
U could hide some behind your windscreen too, think a 2x4 running diagonally from top of screen on one post to bottom of other with screws sent thru screen into 2x4

I never thought of that. I get a gallon at around $35 with my work discount and it is in my shop anyways for use on my vehicles.

its a small structure and in concrete so that part should be ok. I might throw a couple small lags in the top but that should hold. The roof on the other hand I would put hurricane clips on it...

Those options are both kinda heavy duty for a little structure like that. They’d be fine but I would go with corrugated or g-rib metal unless u are going for a certain look...it’s lighter and easier to install

Yeah I thought the same thing. Here in Pennsylvania posts and footers are at least 36" deep to be below frost line. A 12" deep hole with concrete unless it was 48" in diameter really isn't doing much more than tie wiring a cinder block to the post.

Shingles aren't a good choice if you doing a flat roof. I agree w/ truchador metal roof is the way to go.

I forgot to mention if u run metal on there you’ll have to install 1x4 purlins across the top of your rafters to support it. Easy peasy :)
