I still want the Tacoma because, I just want one. It is like the Mustang of trucks I guess.

Two threads on a Tacoma forum about the Ranger speaks volumes.

To me, it looks like they mashed up all the midsize trucks, and this is what fell out. I see Taco, Frontier, and twins in there. Offensive to none, except for the interior. I think they could have some more buttons somewhere.

I also see many things I don't like, such as no amber rear signals, no tach, no MT, and a guess at worse approach and departure angles compared to the Taco.

I do like the fully boxed frame.

Ford forgot to mention that the Ranger will not have a factory equipped rear end noise.

Ford needs a new interior design team- why do the seats look pulled from the 78' lincoln parts bin. (big thick , flat seats)

While I think it looks better than the GM twins, it still doesn't look as good as the Tacoma.

All the photos are of the Lariat (plush) trim level so others may be different.

Trail Control (sounds like Crawl Control) and optional rear locker at least mean it may be trying to be serious.

Sad that there's no V6, but the EB should have plenty of low RPM torque.
