I did try that one, yes, actually it was too large!

I'll get in touch with him.

    I'm learning that.

Thanks everyone for weighing in. I'll update my final result.

Not to dig up an old thread but I think I may have found a resolution to this. A friend of mine has a (mfg'd 7/1997) 1998 Taco 4WD extended cab with W59 manual trans. In helping him we found that the 12371-0C020 mount per application was completely wrong and we thought the vehicle may have had its tranny switched earlier and 12371-0C030 that mount was closer but too big. I decided to look at other applications and eureka, I found 4Runners made between 1996 - 2000 used this mount for 3RZ (2.7l), W59 trans, 4WD Beck Arnley# 104-1844 (OEM# 12371-75030) I'm contacting B-A to get a measured drawing of it when I get that I'll updated this post.

Ok I've emailed Beck Arnley requesting a measured drawing of part# 104-1844 (xref to 12371-75030) So like I said when I received a measured drawing for this I'll upload it here, to clarify, here's some pix outline this issue

Hey, thanks for all your work, this looks promising! 104-1844 looks spot-on, proportionally. I'm looking forward to hearing what they say, I'd love to have some closure on this!

Ok I had to call Beck Arnley today, they are an aftermarket reboxer but offer quality replacement Toyota parts. I spoke to a rep and explained the situation they had someone go out into warehouse pull part and measure legs as I requested, so here's their reply...

I'm posting to confirm once and for all that the Beck/Arnley 104-1844 is 100% correct for my 2000 2.7 4x4 Xcab SR5 with a W59 manual transmission. I assume that means it is also compatible with 96'-2000 of the same model.

I installed it today with no issues. Can't tell you how glad I am to be done with this bloody thing. 3 Toyota dealers and 2 local mechanics couldn't give me the correct part number, Amazon claims it doesn't fit and every parts store I've tried has completely wrong parts listed.
    :annoyed:

Thank you socarboy99 for digging up those measurements and sharing the info! Now to find something else wrong with my truck to frustrate me...:mudding:

Funny I had a hard time finding that mount as well when I wanted to change it. I just went on the parts diagram by VIN and got the part number and bought it from the dealership. perfect fit. 1995 2.7 W59 MT 4x4

There were several variations of this mount, all in the legs. I suggested to the CSR at Beck Arnley to have a reference sheet with measured drawings of these mounts. B-A is a reboxer (they aren't the mfgr) A manufacturer usually will have a measured drawing of a part. But in the case with a lot of this stuff nowadays it comes from China, so good luck with that, so a link to a Toyota factory site, where old manufacturing records are archived, is probably the only place such records exist.

and BTW most of the parts records referred this position mount as "rear no. 1" including the one my friend's truck needed. I reasoned that his vehicle didn't have the original trans (at least rear housing after 2 attempts the 4Runner with W59 worked for this.

My thing is I don't trust any after market mounts anymore for my truck I always go OEM.

I replaced my engine mounts with Beck Arnley and they were too soft and kept causing exhaust leaks and cracked 2 exhaust manifolds due to the amount of engine flex they allowed and breaking the 2 small insulators which mounted my intake to the head

All went away after I put OEM mounts in.
