So I picked up one of these http://allgermanmotorsports.com/uni-ball-tools-5-2 to do my uniballs. Best $150 I've ever spent. Didn't have to take off the UCA's and was so fast and easy. Mine were pretty shot and rusty and this thing pressed them out w/o a hiccup.

I don't think I'd like to rent it out, I'm very leery on loaning tools, but if anyone in the DFW area needs a 1" uniball replaced. Give me a shout.

Icon has one similar to what I bought too. I’ll tell ya, not having to take off the arms is well with the extra cost. When I did my bushings a few months ago I tried to pound out the uniballs with a socket to clean them up. Not happening.

The way this goes through the uniball with a lead screw is far easier than the “C” type presses.

Did you install new uniballs or the delta joints?

I did the uniballs. I haven’t really looked at the delta joint too closely. Will it fit the same spherical bearing cup in aftermarket UCA’s?

Not sure really. But you look on the ICON site and they have them for many different applications.

Currently the Delta Joint is a direct swap for uniballs in all Icon arms. There will be a replacement out later this year to replace the uniballs in TC, Camburg, ect arms.

I was lucky to find this thread when thinking about doing mine.

I used the Icon kit and it really made life easier.

It's one of those tools you'll use once in a blue moon. But when you need one...

My next truck will get uniball UCA's, I'm sure mine will get used a bit in the future.
