ive never really been a fan of covers over the bed because I like an open bed on my truck to throw items in or be able to be in the bed when out in the truck Off Road somewhere.

But also I got used to having a car with enclosed cargo space. I have a toolbox on my truck now and wanted to see if anyone knows of any options to have some sort of bed cover for the remainder of the bed that's open?

I'd like to be able to have some items in the bed but not exposed when driving or when traveling say to stop somewhere and not have my items in plain view.

The way I see it my options are either a complete bed cover and no toolbox, or toolbox and deal with it. Is there really anything that could help me here? I'd just like to know if I were to throw a duffle bag in the back and stop at the store I don't have lug the items into the cab before walking away.

To those of you with toolboxes do you ever find yourself wanting a bed cover?

There are plenty of toolboxes available that fit under the rails, so you could still have a bed cover if you wanted. How big of a box do you want?

I’ve had a roll top cover and it worked fine for keeping the bed secure and items out of sight.
You could have a tool box under it or there may be a few box/cover combo set-ups that might work.A96A530B-0638-4A4C-BC57-8DD91B70D495.jpg

You could also look into a small drawer system instead of a toolbox. I’ve got a tonneau cover and if I had to always fold up the tonneau cover to access the tool box in the back, it’d get annoying real quick.
