I just went out a few minutes ago to get some stuff out of the truck. Touched the door handle to unlock, nothing. Hit unlock on key fob, nothing. Got key out of fob, manually unlocked door, got in, no lights/dash/start, nothing.

Went back inside to get my meter from my box, hooked up alligator clips to check battery, turned on meter, readjusted neg. clip as meter was coming on. As soon as I reconnected neg clip, power came back, antitheft went nuts, all other power came back. Starts and runs.

Ever happened to anyone before??? Almost 15k miles, never had even a hint of any other trouble. Should I contact dealer, I doubt they will be able to recreate issue. Thoughts?

Was out checking the neg cable, clamp was tight-ish, probably not as tight as it should have been. Hopefully that is the end of it. Time will tell, hopefully, maybe.

Very strange. Even if the neg clamp was just tight-ish you should have had door locks and lights. I'd error on the side of caution and have the battery checked. Lots of auto shops will check batteries for free so you don't need to mess with the dealer.

I kind of felt the same way about the clamp. Loose clamp/no start, ok, I get that. Low current systems like door locks should have still worked IMHO.

BTW, I am the auto shop, so...it would be me checking the battery, which had 12.6 when I tested it with the meter. I'm not really worried about the battery.
