Normal, not really but batteries can and will "boil over" out the vent caps under certain conditions. As you see in the photo the acid has started to corrode the terminals and mount. You need to neutralize the acid with baking soda and water but be careful not to get that solution into the battery.

Mine also leaked (not quite as bad) at 14K and it had dropped to half its CCA. Wouldn’t start one cold morning. Dealer replaced under warranty.

Looks like it may help to put in a plastic battery tray to hold drips.

Mine looks far worse than that. Guess I need to have the dealer look at it on the next visit.

My Toyota battery had a short/dead cell and dealer replaced it. They should take care of it for you.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Battery is covered under 3/36 I believe. We replace a lot of batteries for leaking. Usually when they leak they fail the load test.

I bought my 2016 in December 2015, it has had a slight seeping that I was just wiping up, but today I noticed corrosion on the bracket. It was covered under warranty and they have changed batteries from factory stock. Now it is a 7 year warranty TrueStart aka Interstate I believe.

Doesn’t hurt that I have bought so many parts making my Pro poser, since they didn’t make them in 2016. :D

    You mean the corrocion?
Yup seems perfectly normal on these engines.
Not sure if its the batteries but i doubt it, i think its related to the added electronics/demand i.e. direct injection and other demands after engine shutoff.

If you clean your terminals, you may find faster starts and smoother idle.

Ask me how i know ( wink wink)

    Cheers!
