New to this forum and owning a 2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD sport Access cab
I have a noise coming from
    the back of the interior
    when braking fast
I thought it could be the seatbelts clanking on the plastic but it sounds like it's coming more from the windows and back seat area, also checked in the storage to see if something was sliding around and everything is tight, I'm hoping somebody else had the same issue and there's a cure before I take it in to the dealership
I know this is probably not the spot to post this then again I'm new to this so please be gentle on me moderators

Can you explain the sound a little better? A creaking like metal on metal? Better yet, any video recording? Stuff echoes all over the place and can be really annoying for sure!

    BTW, welcome!

thank you, more like a thud, sounds like something hitting plastic, its definitely annoying, it only does it when braking somewhat fast

Lots of second gen's have this same noise my included. I haven't found out the cause yet. I know what you're talking about though. Sounds like it's coming from the rear passenger side.

Not sure about the access cab but on the Double cab. Between the seat and the door pillars are seat belt clips. Try putting your belt in the clip and see if it still makes the noise.

Only other thing I can think of is maybe something is stored behind the seat that is moving or the dealer needs to look at it.

R U Freakin' serious...???? Holy shit my man...! Put a bag of pot in there to cushion the movement of the manual. That's what I do. Works well...!!:thumbsup::rasta::rasta:

Glued on some light carpet. This fixed the problem with pens, pencils 1D8F82FF-CB3A-4643-B7BF-8B97CED7C50A.jpg B6C3B88C-96DB-4CA7-880E-178A1C48CFC2.jpg and sunglasses rattling on the bottom surface. Could use some carpet on the sides too. Use the bags of green stuff on the sides and you’d be cushioned all around.
