My gf hit a freeway curb going about 45-50 on the freeway on her car. It's a 96 Escort. Steering wheel was way off and my tire shop was unable to align the car. They suggested taking it to a frame shop, which I did, and they said they pulled it a bit and later the car was able to "pass' the alignment. I know the guys at the frame shop and they supposedly did me a favor and charged a lower price. When I picked it up though, there are huge gaps in the front end, mainly around the grille, bumper and hood. It looks like shit. Like maybe they pulled too much to one side? The car is pretty much a beater, but it looked way better before going in there. I asked the (frame) body shop and they gave me some answer about the frame being bent before and they made it right which made everything sit crooked. I highly doubt it, especially considering they only did work on the suspension apparently. I am going to take it back there, but what can they possibly do to fix it, especially since the car isn't worth much as it is.

There is a reason many insurance companies total a vehicle with frame damage.

Put it in Craigslist and get your gf a Corolla or Camry. Not worth the investment.

Weird, this thread is old and now everyone's responding. The Escort is still around, drives fine, but the body definitely fucked something up. The whole car sits at an angle now and it didn't before. Oh well.
