    Hi TW,

Will be purchasing a set of tires this week. All will be P rated. I'm going to bumping up a tire size 265 70 17. Which tire would you choose out of the three? I'm leaning more towards the hankooks or toyo. I don't do heavy offroading. Just the weekend warrior camping trips/fire trails

This forum seems to love the hankooks but I do like the more aggressive side wall pattern on the Toyo.

    Thanks in advance

Loving the 265 70 17 G2. It's quiet on road and actually does quite well offroad.

I can't say anything about the other two, but I love my ATMs. They've done well on fire service roads, highways, rain, and even a little snow last year. And from what I've been reading (because I'm also in the market for new tires), the ATMs are really light, good on MPGs, and one of the better choices among the vast number of A/T tires out there.

What size are you running? I'm trying to bump up to 265 70 17.. But I heard they run taller so I'm a bit concerned of rubbing on stock suspension

nitto's have been very good for me....they are super quiet on the highway which was important to me and perform very well on the beach (about the only offorading i do) and snow. i havent done anything on mud though. they have also been very durable...have aBout 42k miles on this set and about 7/32 remaining. when these wear out ill probably just replace them with the same set.

Can’t wait to see what everyone prefers besides the KO2s

I've been running Dynapro ATM's for about 5 years, they've been very good to me, especially in the snow. My use has been similar to yours and they handled great! I have them in P26575r16, but I also have a small lift so there really isn't rubbing. But when I was shopping they were among the lighter tires so that helped with mpgs (i took off mt's that were 8lbs heavier each) and they have held up great, so Hankook.

I also just put on my second set of ATM's p26575r16 with level kit on 4x4 DC. First set I had 25k on when I sold my old truck and there were still 10/32 tread left. Second set is the less aggressive edge that Hankook redesigned in late 2016.
Ride is great with no rubbing. Hard to beat this tire for the price.

A few mods here and there and counting....
Had the ATMs for a year now, 265/75r16 and they have been fantastic. Took them through a major snow storm in Tahoe last year and it did well. Quiet on the freeway and looks great with the white lettering facing out imo. Works for what i use the truck for. Camping, snowboarding, and fire trails.

Looks like we've got ourselves an ATM fan club going lol

Currently, I'm running stock 265/65/R17 (what came with the truck when I bought it), but I'm looking at going 245 or 255/75/R17 pizza cutters. For me, I'm ok with a little :sawzall: if they rub, but you should be good with 265/70/R17 (I haven't heard anyone complain about it yet).

Yeah I assumed I was fine.. but read somewhere on here that the hankooks run tall. Same size tires compared to other manufacturers and they are slightly taller.

I have the hankook in 265/70/17. They do run a bit tall as I do have minor rubbing in reverse when turning the wheel.

They have excellent grip overall and wear great. I currently have 45,000 miles on them and they're at 9/32 tread.

I didn't see an mpg drop at all when I switch from good year kevlar to the hankook atms.

    Two complaints:

    1) I do found that they go out of balance around 6k miles so get them balanced regularly. Pretty much at every oil change I head to the tire shop and get a tire balance.

    2) The side wall seems pretty soft, visually. I'll look at my tire, and think, " The side wall is pretty squished. My tire is low on air..." only to check on it and it's a 33 PSI cold.

    ^^^This!
Almost every time I look at mine, I could swear they're flat, but they're sitting at full pressure.

Ended up going with the Hankook ATM's.. They ride a bit "squisher".. you are right the side wall is very soft! Overall great first impressions. We'll have to wait and see..

Thanks for all that helped me make my decision
