Bak Industries bed cover 2011 Taco short bed. HELP!!

Ok. This is my HUGE PROBLEM I’m having right now. I just bought a Bak Industries hard folding (in 3 sections) bed cover. It shipped to my house. I put the side tracks in the bed of the truck including taking the front track off (closest to the cab, back wall) as the directions said to do. Then I put the bed cover on and this is where it’s all gone downhill. The bed cover hangs over the rear tailgate by 2 inches almost and it can not be adjusted to be pushed forward anymore because it’s alreasy almost hitting the back of the cab. I then went around the guy on eBay that I bought it from and asked Bak Industries “why is this made LONGER than the bed of the truck? Their answer was “we only make “2” one for a 5 ft short bed and one for a 6 ft longbed but still didn’t really explain why it’s hsnging over the bed the way it is? My question to anyone snd everyone on here is this.. Does ANYBODY have a 2011 Tacoma with a BAKFLIP G-2 bed cover on their truck and if so does yours also hang way over the back over the top of the closed tailgate or did these clowns send me the wrong item? I’ve seen a ton of these on vehicles in parking lots but never saw one hsnging over like this one is or I just never paid close enough attention. Any help here would be apreciated INCLUDING PICTURES so I can see if any of yours fits different than mine? Thanks everyone.

 

It looks to me like they sent you the wrong one. I have a Bakflip on a long bed and it fits perfectly. I would call Bakflip and see if they can identify exactly which cover you have.
