Hi, Im new to this forum and would like your input on modifications.
I just bought a 2016 Tacoma SR5 4x4. I want to get a 3" lift that will handle well for offroading as well as regular driving as its going to be my daily commute. I'd like to get something affordable and durable. I've seen a lot out there but man im so lost and confused. Im looking to spend hopefully less than $1500 on lift. I'd also like to get some wheels and tires as well. Which size and brand is recommended? Also, will it be possible to get the tires and wheels before getting a lift? Thanks !

Congrats on your truck. I think I have the same truck as you so it'll be interesting to see all the suggestions.

    Welcome aboard!

Welcome! There are no right or wrong answers, which is why you are confused. Pick a price point, search the internet, look at popularity and reviews and go from there. You can spend as little as a few hundred bucks to $20K.

Hi, welcome! Read your manual, test on Friday. :)

Your lift and wheel/tire question is very complex with many options - I started out here https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...by-toytec-lifts.395798/page-170#post-16485843 and reading the other TW sticky posts on lifts, etc.

Also, chat with more knowledgable people than the members here, most of them don’t know what they are talking about :crapstorm:

LOL- I’ve had great input and suggestions on similar questions about my tires and lift from members here too! :)

Also, call someone like Headstrong off-road (one of the listed and respected vendors here on TW) for their recommendations, too.

    Have fun!

I can't think of one person that has regretted going with OME lift. Talk to Cruiseroutfitters.
