Yea once I send the valve body to John and get it back. The plan is to sell it the trans. Really have no space to store an extra trans.

Bought my Ratiotek kit on Amazon. Shows no longer available.

RatioTek RTA750EHD Valve Body Kit - Heavy Duty https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072LSNT97

    Found it on eBay though...

    Thanks Dwayne !!!
I grabbed one off ebay .
Thats cheap in comparison to Trans-go https://www.ebay.com/itm/Transgo-SK...ash=item1a26975a63:g:QKwAAOSw4A5Ystxb&vxp=mtr
I will have to see how much difference there is between these two kits
Not sure if I mentioned it ,but I have never worked with Ratio tech . For $27 bucks , you really cant go wrong
Edit ..The ratio tech kit is pretty much just a shift improver kit thus the cheaper price point . The kit doesnt compensate for wear points .
Not saying thats a bad thing as its obviously working for some of you supercharged guys .
Highly suggest Lubegaurd to go along with one of these kits or with any transmission that has some miles on it . Highly suggested even with a brand new transmission . The product is that good !! Take some time out and read up on what this stuff does and why it works so well .

RatioTek is actually a family company of Transgo..the two owners are related, and are either father and son or sibling and sibling. RatioTek simplifies the necessary steps to do what Is needed to make the tranny shift right. Sonnax is simply a company that makes parts for rebuilding the valve body if needed. If you are lower miles like most of us were or are you do not need anything nut the RatioTek kit.

    Full disclosure.
So far im 85% happy with mine. I'm having an issue where sometimes when in 5th gear it acts like it's lost pressure and it acts like a high speed limp mode. When this happens, I can't make boost in 5th gear and it throws code p2179 solenoid D off or stuck open. This is a high mileage 160k truck and a flooded one at that (8ft of water for 4+ hours) currently my valve body is NOT set up correctly and in step 4 in the directions I posted, I need to seat the last part one step deeper than it currently is. I believe doing this will fix my current issue but won't have time to confirm it till this weekend or next week. I believe the issues I'm having are from my mistake and not the kits fault.

Went to a nearby trans shop and asked about installing the shift kit and the owner says he dosent recommend it because the kit increases the pressure and the trans computer trys to compensate by lowering the pump pressure which causes premature wear. Dude was quite rude about it too. LOLs. I'm no trans expert so looking for a reality check.

Your ECU knows how you like to get down.

Hows that IPT trans working out for ya?

I'll have to run it by IPT. See what John says. But if dude from local trans shop is correct, I might just wait till the thing wears out from soft shifting and go the route loginfailed did - built trans from IPT. Sounds funny, but I feel more confident in my abilities to swap the entire trans than mod the valve body.

No issues what so ever. Noticeably quicker and firmer shifts. Seems like my mileage improved a bit but that may just be weather/driving conditions on the last tank.

Trans isn’t that hard to do but having a lift makes it much less painful. The VB swap isn’t bad it’s just sort of awkward to do upside down. Much easier to mess with the VB when it’s in this position:

All issues with my transmission are gone now that I've set this upgrade up correctly. Well worth the time and the little bit of money it costs. Had a friend in Florida follow my guide here and he says he's very happy with it too.

This is a great question .
Pulse width modulation is built into our transmissions .
I would like to hear IPT,s answer as well as Ratiotec,s answer before I install my Ratiotec kit .
If you read the Ratio tech box in the first post , it says tuners have been making changes to the ECU for years now

The trans-go kits do not make the transmission shift more aggressively nor do the Sonnax Zip kits . They fix problems with wear and factory flaws
