Didn’t take pictures of install or anything like a dummy but did the toytec HID swap on my first gen this weekend and 10/10 recommend it to anyone who doesn’t have HIDs. They are sooo much brighter than factory heads.

You have no cutoff, and are now blinding every other driver in front of you. HID drop-ins are dangerous. Please, if you are going to do hids, put them in proper projectors.
Sorry to be harsh, but it needs to be said. Those lights could blind someone at the wrong moment and cause injury, or worse.

No cut off??? They’re dot legal and wire into into the factory harness. I can control them the exact way as a factory light.

Cut off not shut off. The light is being spread all over the place with no distinct border, cut off, this is causing your lights to blind everyone coming at you.

ETA: Just because it is DOT legal doesn't mean legal in halogen projectors. Only DOT legal in HID projectors.

I'm seriously considering a 32" LED light bar on the back of my truck to shine back at those guys with way-too-bright lights that drive behind me down my dark country roads at night.

Just trying to make sure people know the dangers of hids in halogen bowls. I see the ricers do it all the time, and those are bad enough on a lowered car. On a lifted truck, the problems get worse.

    Hopefully no hard feelings @Kyle_sprouse

Kyle, have you found any solutions for projectors? After doing a quick search there seem to be a solid all in one headlight that uses an actual HID projector. Most headlights come with standard halogen bulbs and thus have to come with the halogen projectors which are worthless with an HID kit and would have to be swapped if you want an HID light output. This kit is nice as it only comes with the HID kit so the projector is an HID one. This would be a standard plug and play set up without any fuss of getting a retro install done. Its def expensive, but quality headlights always are.
