All right guys, bumpers and sliders should be in soon....i'm curious to hear any ideas for coating plate bumpers and sliders.....I live in Missouri so corrosion resiatance is always good. Was thinking something like POR15, or something of that nature. Anyway....curious to hear some ideas, thanx in advance guys....

Mine are powder coated. As they comes off they get rattle canned. But we don't do salt in Montana.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
I prefer acetone, self etching primer, then rustoleum color of your choice so I can touch up freely as the armor serves its purpose. Powder looks nice but is not repairable and requires full strip and recoat when compromised.

All of mine were powdercoated. Front and rear color matched and sliders in black. I've touched up the rear rock rash with rattle can and it matches up good enough. When new, I brush painted on a thick coat of bed liner to the underside of sliders and have touched up rash with a rattle can as well.

I'm in the process of building my own and came to the realization that if they get scuffed, its easier to fix if you rattle can them instead of powdercoat. Gonna do 1-2 coats self etching primer than 2 coats Rustoleum truck bed liner. Since my sliders will also serve as a step bar, it should have a little texture.

Self Etching Primer and Black in the rattle cans. Easy to do and even easier to touch up.

I use POR15 and figure I'll have to recoat at some point.
